Vented Metal Panels for Heat, Airflow and Equipment Protection
Equipment panels often need to protect internal components while allowing heat to escape. We manufacture custom vented metal panels for enclosures, machinery, telecom cabinets, server systems, and OEM housings.

Heat Release
Vents support passive or fan-assisted cooling paths.
Protection
Openings can protect internal parts while allowing airflow.
Pattern Control
Slots, louvers, perforations, and fan cutouts can be combined.
Production Ready
Panels can include bends, hardware, finish, and inspection.
Vent Designs We Can Produce
Better Venting Starts with DFM
Vent openings change panel stiffness and may affect flatness. Before production, we review hole density, slot length, bend placement, coating buildup, and whether the panel needs reinforcement.
Manufacturing Route
Vented panels can include cutting, forming, hardware insertion, powder coating, anodizing, deburring, inspection, and export packaging.
Applications
Material Options
Aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, and galvanized steel can be selected based on environment, weight, finish, and budget.
Quality Focus
Pattern consistency, burr removal, flatness, mounting hole alignment, coating coverage, and fit with the mating cabinet are checked before shipment.
Airflow Requirement Review
If you know the fan location, filter size, airflow target, or heat source, share it with the RFQ. Those details help us suggest a manufacturable vent layout.
What to Send
Drawing, material, thickness, vent pattern, finish, quantity, hardware, fan or filter details, and cosmetic surface notes.
Machining range
Vented metal panel processing range
Vented panels are quoted by both metalwork and airflow requirements. Pattern choice, opening ratio, fan location, and safety clearance all affect the final design.
| Materials | Steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum for electrical cabinets, rack equipment, and machine covers |
|---|---|
| Typical thickness | 0.8 mm to 4.0 mm for common vented panels; thicker guards reviewed for open area and stiffness |
| Vent styles | Round perforations, slots, louvers, fan holes, filter openings, mixed ventilation fields |
| Assembly details | Bends, mounting holes, PEM nuts, fan guards, filter frame holes, grounding points |
| Design review | Open area ratio, heat source location, finger safety, burr control, filter service direction |
FAQ
Vented metal panel FAQ
How much open area should a vented panel have?
It depends on heat load, fan performance, filter resistance, and safety requirements. We can quote from your target pattern or help review manufacturable options.
Are slots or round holes better?
Round holes are often easier to standardize and inspect. Slots can provide a directional look and larger open area, but stiffness and burrs need review.
Can vented panels include filters?
Yes. Filter frames, screw points, removable covers, and service clearances can be integrated if the filter size and replacement direction are provided.
How do you prevent sharp vent edges?
Deburring method is selected by material and pattern. Dense openings may require special handling to keep the panel safe without damaging appearance.
