Designed from the port map inward
Front-panel density cannot be treated as decoration
Connector arrays, light pipes, labels, reset access and management ports need positional consistency across bends and finishes. We review the panel as a functional interface, then organize the internal sheet metal around board location, thermal zones and assembly access.
Port registration
Cutout position, bend influence and cosmetic reveal controlled together.
Air path integrity
Perforations, fans, baffles and cable volumes planned to avoid recirculation.
Replaceable modules
Covers, trays and power components arranged for practical maintenance.
One platform, multiple products
Build a chassis family without losing configuration control
Common bases, modular I/O panels and shared internal brackets can reduce redesign effort across appliance tiers while preserving each model’s connectivity.

Fabrication details
Features that turn sheet metal into an appliance platform
Fine vent patterns
Laser cut or punched for airflow and appearance.
Inserted hardware
PEM nuts, studs and standoffs installed in controlled locations.
Formed rigidity
Hems, beads and interlocks improve stiffness efficiently.
Brand finish
Powder colors, texture, masking and graphic preparation.
Release with fewer manufacturing surprises
At Hengtai Leading Technology, we connect DFM findings to first-article inspection and repeat-production controls.
Flag fragile webs, bend conflicts, tolerance stacks and unnecessary cost.
Verify critical interface dimensions and appearance before production.
Use fixtures, work instructions and inspection points for consistency.

Front Panel Port Alignment Guide
Port cutouts must account for connector body size, plug clearance, LED position and accumulated bend tolerance. A functional datum near the I/O field is usually more useful than controlling the panel from an unrelated outer edge.
| Interface | Alignment focus | Clearance check | Production control |
|---|---|---|---|
| RJ45 | Jack center and latch opening | Plug boot and release tab | Cutout gauge and sample plug |
| SFP | Cage face and indicator light pipe | Module insertion and bail access | Panel datum to cage array |
| QSFP | Dense cage pitch and flatness | Transceiver pull-tab envelope | Array-level inspection fixture |
| USB | Receptacle reveal and orientation | Molded plug overhang | Board-to-panel stack check |
