Fabrication + Finish Under One Roof

Sheet Metal Fabrication with In-House Powder Coating

A finished metal part should not travel through a disconnected supply chain if the finish is critical to fit, appearance or corrosion protection. At Hengtai Leading Technology, we connect fabrication and in-house powder coating so the same project team controls the part before and after finishing.

We Start Thinking About the Finish Before the Part Is Cut

Powder coating is not the final decorative step added after manufacturing. Coating thickness affects hole sizes, threads, grounding surfaces, hinge fit, sliding features and assembly gaps. Hanging points influence visible surfaces. Drainage and geometry affect pretreatment. Cosmetic zones change how parts must be handled after laser cutting, bending and welding.

A Connected Fabrication-to-Finish Workflow

01

Engineering review

Identify cosmetic faces, masks, threads, grounding points and assembly interfaces.

02

Cut and form

Manufacture the part with coating allowance and visible-surface requirements in mind.

03

Weld and deburr

Control weld transitions, spatter and sharp edges before pretreatment.

04

Pretreat and coat

Process the part through the in-house powder-coating route using the specified color and finish.

05

Inspect

Check appearance, coverage, protected surfaces and relevant dimensions.

06

Assemble and package

Install hardware or components where required and protect finished faces for shipment.

Finish Requirements We Want to See on Your Drawing

Requirement Why It Matters
RAL / approved color referencePrevents subjective color interpretation.
Gloss / textureDefines the appearance target, especially for customer-facing equipment.
Cosmetic class or visible facesTells us where handling marks and finish consistency matter most.
Masking locationsProtects threads, grounding points, conductive contacts and fit surfaces.
Coating thickness requirementHelps manage fit, corrosion target and process acceptance.
Outdoor / indoor environmentSupports appropriate material and powder-system selection.
Packaging expectationPrevents post-finish scratches and rub marks during transport.

Our In-House Powder-Coating Capability

Our facility includes an in-house powder-coating line up to 6 m, supporting large cabinets, panels and equipment structures as well as smaller fabricated parts. We work with RAL and customer-specified colors and can coordinate masking and appearance requirements as part of the complete manufacturing package.

Where Integrated Powder Coating Adds the Most Value

Electrical enclosures and sheet metal cabinets.

Control panels, doors and custom sheet metal panels.

Machine frames and welded equipment structures.

Chassis and rack components with visible exterior surfaces.

Outdoor equipment that needs coordinated material and finish selection.

Assemblies with PEM hardware, grounding points, hinges, locks or gaskets.

Masking Is an Engineering Requirement

We ask customers to clearly identify surfaces that must remain uncoated. Common examples include threaded features, stud contact faces, grounding locations, electrical interfaces, press-fit features, gasket sealing surfaces and close-tolerance mating areas. If a drawing does not show these requirements, we flag the question during review instead of guessing.

From Coated Part to Finished Assembly

Where required, we continue after coating with hardware insertion and assembly. Keeping finishing and assembly connected is particularly useful for doors, cabinets and equipment housings because it allows the final fit and appearance to be checked after the coating process.

Send Us the Drawing and Finish Specification

Include material, quantity, color/texture, cosmetic faces and any masked surfaces. We will quote the complete fabrication and powder-coating route rather than only the coating operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you coat large cabinets and panels?

Yes. Our in-house line supports parts up to 6 m subject to geometry, hanging method and process review.

Can you mask threads and grounding areas?

Yes. Masking requirements should be clearly identified on the drawing so they can be planned and inspected as part of the production route.

Do you offer fabrication without powder coating?

Yes. We provide complete custom sheet metal fabrication and can use other specified finishes where appropriate.
